Capacity building for paediatric HIV care, treatment and
support through training of health care providers:
ANECCA
provides technical and logistical support, to various countries
and programs in sub-Saharan Africa, to scale up tailored
training of health workers in paediatric/adolescent HIV care and
treatment as well as psychosocial care and counseling. Support
has been provided to initiate/ scale up training activities in
several countries. The Network has established continent-wide
networks with various experienced paediatric HIV prevention,
care, treatment and support experts who provide services to HIV
infected children in various countries. The ANECCA easily
mobilizes them to provide technical assistance to equip other
health workers with knowledge and skills in paediatric HIV care,
treatment and support.
